Senepol calves have a reputation for "jumping up and nursing" very quickly after birth. Well Bindii's arrival today was exemplary in this regard. Pictured here just 45 minutes after being born, she had already had a walk, a drink and a clean-up and she'd been introduced to her herd mates. You can see how unconcerned they all are about the close proximity of the photographer so soon after birth .... truly wonderful cattle.

Senepol calves have a reputation for "jumping up and nursing" very quickly after birth. Well Bindii's arrival today was exemplary in this regard.
